Primting Museum is lauching a photo contest having as a subject the museum itself and the art displayed there.
Between today and Monday the 15th, visit the
Primting Museum, explore the
artwork there and post your museum related photos in the
Primtings Koinup Group. Each user can enter up to 5 images.
The Primting Museum presents 3D interpretations by various artists of famous 2D paintings, and was born as a vehicle to explore how traditional 2D art can be directly adapted to the virtual worlds. Making a 2D photos of a 3D interpretation of a 2D artwork is going to be a special challenge but we look forward to see how the creativity of the contestants will develop.
The judges will select the winners the week of the 15th and the winners will be announced on Saturday the 20th, on
Koinup and
in-world.
Prizes are as follow :

The Primtings Museum was born to explore how traditional 2D art can be directly adapted to the virtual world of Second Life by different SL artists. Primtings presents innovations in virtual world avant-garde art with each exhibit adding more than just a new 3rd dimension, but often also interactivity, and interpretations only possible in the virtual world, as envisioned by a range of master new media artists.
