Cyber Photo Contest

Koinup is pleased to invite you to join the Cyber Photo Contest! The first Koinup competition entirely dedicated to scifi and cyber culture!

Express your cyber art, ship trought interstice spaces and enter the matrix of sci-fi culture!

The contest is about taking pics with scifi and cyber/alien/futuristic themes and post them here on the Cyber Photo Contest group!


Presentation

With the help of BlackMamba, owner of the BladeRunners sims in Second Life, we created a list with some of the the best alien-tech, sci-fi, cyberpunk, dystopian and post apocalypt style sims! Both in Second Life and in other virtual worlds.

(note: this guide include only a few of the tons of scifi places in the metaverse, if you know other places, leave their urls or addresses in the discussions and we will add to the directory)

This guide will help you to find awesome scifi/futuristic spots in the metaverse, where you can take photos and then submit for the contest!


The contest is about creating/shooting images conveing cyber themes. Need some example of cyber themes? All the Sci-fi, Aliens, Dystopian, "Futuristic Blade Runner like" and postapocalyptic images are appropriate for the category.

But we also look at images that convey a representation of the future. How do you imagine the future of your cities? Use virtual worlds imagery to create cyber photo and submit for the contest!


The 6 winning photos will be showcased in the BladeRunner Sim, where BlackMamba will give us the chance to setup an exhibition with the winning artwork of the contests!

Two categories are eligible for the win: avatars and sceneries.

There will be winners for both the categories. Three for any category. Moreover, we will pick a bunch of special mentions. That will be mentioned here in the contest page


Submissions

You can submit your entries from today, 19th of december to 10th of january. Winners will be announced on 13th of january.

Any participant can submit upto 5 entries

The winning works will be picked a by a panel of judges made up by the New World Notes journalist Hamlet Au and the Koinup Blog Editor Poid Mahovlich
