Precious Baby Continued

Logan and I carpool to school together everyday. He loves getting to hang out with me and I love the company. We have a great time, singing along to the songs on the radio and laughing at how horrible our voices sound. He is loving school and I am loving all the free time I have. I only have to get him a snack when he gets home and sit him down with his homework. My work load has just been cut in half because I only have Kenny's diaper to deal with.

I am also very proud of my dad. He is very insist on setting a good example for his son and he has been going to work! He gives Logan a hug good-bye before he leaves and we stand on the curb and wave to him. He actually seems to be enjoying work, now that he's sober enough to go.

David came home with me after school. He seemed minorly embarassed to be getting in the car with me, hence the baseball cap but I figured it was because it was a convertible bug and I knew he didn't like it.
I had him wait in the car until I was sure that Kenny was asleep, the nanny was gone and my dad wasn't home.

We were in my room and about to bring out make-out session onto the bed when Kenny started wailing at the top of his lungs. It was then that I realized what I was doing. He was a jerk and he never treated me right. There was no way I was going to do this with him.

I looked at his face again and saw how cold his eyes were and how ugly his face was. I guess 'love' really does make a person blind. I quickly threw him out of the house and make sure that he knew it was over, for good.

After I made sure that David was gone, I ran up to Kenny's room and gave him a huge hug. He was perfectly happy, just sitting on the floor and playing with his toys. I don't know why he was crying but I am very thankful.
"You really are a percious baby, I always knew that you were. You've helped our family through a rough time and you've helped me to stop something that I really shouldn't have done," I mumbled as I hugged Kenny.
"No prop, sis," said Kenny, his voice muffled by my shoulder. "Me pecous baby. Daddy love me."
"Daddy does love you, no matter how he shows it.

|
"I love you, my precious baby."

Dad has changed jobs, he now mentors families through rough times. All the families love him and we have every single one over for dinner at least once. He is currently seeing a very sweet red-head who doesn't plan on having any children and doesn't drink alcohol at all.
I have started my senior year of high school and in my free time, I go around to different schools and give speeches about dealing with alcoholic parents.
Logan has really found his place in school, he is the kid that everybody goes to for advice.
And finally, our precious baby. Kenny has grown into a child and is going to a special school for the gifted. He is great at acting and has the lead in his school's play.

Precious Baby is a story I thought up one day and I really tried to put my heart and soul into it. I'm trying to show how hard it can be with an alcoholic father and losing a parent.
Neither of these events have happened to me but I felt it was important for me to write. I think this is one of my better stories and I would love for you to write constructive critism and any comments, however negative or positive, you have. I appreciate reading them and I hope you enjoyed the story.
