I did two pictures in reponse to Pier's review piece koinup.com/pier/work/52005/ to see what I could come up with using windlight and I will confess I didn't find it that easy.

This version I wanted the viewer to see the foreground better so I set the sky settings to Gelatto again but placed the sun at an angle and height that would reflect off the landscape more. Post production I increased the contrast and used the burn and dodge tools heavily to try to deepen the shadows and highlights and give some sense of depth. I rounded off the rocks just to the right of the bridge with the clone tool because they looked like a square block. There are a whole stack of post prod effects I could have used but I wanted to remain as close to what I saw in sl as possible. I used some blurring to soften edges and water was set to glassy again.

what can I say, trixi?

you are an artist! I love best of all, the painting feeling......

and also, that you can't tell no more is it from SL......because it looks like from warcraft or some other fantasy games.....

btw, the place is magic and you have been able in the intent of show it!

Thank you Pier. Yes I prefer this of the two. The painting feel kind of came on its own. Sometimes happens this way. But it took me ages to try to get a windlight feel that I felt reflected the landscape appropriately. Glad you like it xxx

I love it Trixi you made it like a place you have to visit on your holiday. And the green use of windlight is just right. Simply gorgeous :).

thank you Venk, Angel and Maiyya. I found it very hard to give depth with windlight alone....I had to use some tweaking post prod, An interesting place tho
