Sorry for the bad quality photos here, the only way I could do anything at RfL was to minimize everything graphically. And even then, I crashed twice.

This was my little service I provided in the "Relay for Life" sim walk in 2008. I totally forgot it was this weekend, I had other plans. But I dropped into the middle of this, and thoguht "OH! I wanna walk this a bit!" So, I did. Saw a lot of weird stuff walking around, actually, but that's part of the fun. Saw a LOT of sprinters too. Packs of 3-5 runners who were logging distance, and not really looking at the builds. thats cool tho.

I walked around RfL's track looking for a rez point because I had this idea. I finally found TWO sims with open build, and I was VERY happy to find them. Once there, I swapped from my normal avvy to this horse, a "Midnight Sky" Avarian horse from Grendels. Threw on the purple halter, and put the cart down. After a while, I modded the cart with a flag on it, but that's another story.

then I added a text title over my back "Equine taxi for tired hoofers" and walked the track looking for people who wanted a lift. And I had quite a few takers too! I'd drive them around the RfL track, freeing them up for a good 15-20 minutes so they could do RL things like hit the washroom, get something decent to eat, get some coffee or something, whatever they needed to do. And the cart seated 2, but mostly had single riders.

The only "scary" part of the course was Heroes 2, which had a 15M stairway at a VERY steep angle. The cart wouldn't go up it at all. So I cheated like a bastard, "edited" the cart, picked it up, and placed it on top of the stairway while I and my passenger were in it. Made for a few fun laughs.

Next year, I need a few things. Faster computer, more reliable connection, a place I can rez easier, and some way to kill the cart if I crash. I had to re-find my cart twice after crashing / rebooting, and in both cases the script was junked. Thankfully, Grendels makes these horse carts copy/mod so I wasn't out anything. I think it'd be fun to see a few more horses do this. We could even form a team called "Toe-trucks"? Any takers?
