Epic Wave "Rough Guide" Pictures

The epic has a larger surface area, and you can generate a lot more speed using it all.
Ride an epic more like a skatepark than a wave for speed. Speed = height on jumps
It's possible to front flip OVER an epic accidentally while trying to build up speed from it.

3 photo montage showing an "over the top" moment.

Splashdown behind the wave. Now you gotta go catch it!
Fortunately, Windsurfers are FASTER than Epic waves! You CAN catch up to them as they're moving, if ou get the wind in your sail!
It's a half-pipe, only wet and moving!
Make sure you get some running room into an epic to really use the power in there! Speed = cool stunts!

EPIC GRIND!!!!!
Riding the TOP of an Epic wave! That's 10M HIGH!!! Take that Tony Hawk!

The Hyperspace launch, setup

Hyperspace Launch photo montage, Taken while IN FLIGHT off an Epic wave. And no, I didn't PLAN for the pool there, but I'm OH SO HAPPY it was there!
Hyperspace Launch, just to give an idea how FAR I actually launched myself off that wave.
And finally, an "over the top" dismount. Could be fun to try tis intentionally at a comp, right?

surfslsa.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=177 to see article this goes with. These are images I'm using for a "rough guide" to windsurfing in Second Life. The images are in order as they appear in the article, with some text explaining them. I did all these on my own, WHILE windsurfing the epic wave on private land. The avatar is my brown lop bunny I named "Skuff". I never get to surf in the bunny because he's so script heavy (ears, tail, prim hair... it lags on a crowded beach, let me tell you!) Clothing is all my own design (Surf-FUR!), board is a Dolphin Surfline model.
