"Giving thanks to the sun"
"A river otter, after a full day surfing, sits on the beach and gives thanks to the sun as it sets in the west."
For this contest, I went to some of my favorite places in Second Life and looked for spectacular builds to play around with. When I read the rules, and they asked us to not use the "same settings" on each pic, it made me want to tinker a little more. So I dove into the environment settings, and discovered a whole lot of fun toys to play with! what came out a few hours of tinkering was the two final images I'm posting.
This image started with the Windlight preset of "Incongruent Truths" I turned the Star Brightness down, tweaked the east angle to put the sun in the right location, and Sun/moon settings were tweaked to give the sunset appearance. No other settings were altered
Pic taken at Tsunami Beach (slurl.com/secondlife/Tsunami%20Beach/106/3...) using Windlight, no post touchup at all. Tsunami Beach is based on Punalu'u Beach in Hawaii. The real world beach has black sand due to the lava flowing in the ocean near by. It also has "Hawksbill" turtles, and green sea turtles as well. The beach is owned by "Team Tsunami", a surfing club in Second Life.
