I'm an artist in Second Life. I work with prims and take pictures of them. I call this method "Primagery".
I have been developing this process of working since June 2008 and now exhibit my sculpts as Limited Edition miniatures.
The process I use was developed out of a need to attempt to paint in Second Life. I use shapes and texture them as I would paint on a canvas, applying layers upon layers, juxtaposing the shapes for dramatic effect to excite and transfix the viewer. The evolutionary process has taken me from a strictly architectural focus to the more organic and somewhat erotic creations that I work with now. Color fascinates me and I use it liberally.
Second Life tools are sufficient to capture the images with little or no manipulation except for minor cropping and contrast. I am now making cards and posters of some of the images, adding verse or famous quotes with a love theme. I am also exploring sculpture as a primary medium, adding scripts to convey a more subliminal message.
