One of the dearest remembrances of my childhood was Jorge, a little black & white cat, nodding on the stairs of the town hall.
I had no time for him, 'cause I preferred to run across the large empty spaces of my beloved island.
I dreamt about being a little star of the dance...
... but often I forgot to be a star and play with other children in the sunny roads.
I was happy 'til that day...
...the day of la rezzolution!
I left my quiet childhood at home and found myself an angry teen...
who thought to rule the world... without any rules!
I should work to help my family,
but the air was fizzy,
the sun was shiny,
and my eyes were new.
Too old for playing, too young for working!
But another change was waiting for me...
At last, I was a woman, with a vast horizon in front of me.
Not only my body has changed, but every fiber of my soul...
All at once, I realized I was alone... and I didn't wanna be alone.

One summer night,
Cuba was making merry.
I was on the terrace of my home wandering what to do while music sweetened my lonely heart little by little...
A beautiful stranger was looking at me, smiling...
I went downstairs and shily reached him...
I can feel electricity in the air... and I was afraid that my heart would stop forever!
We danced all night long...
and it was like dancing would be the only important thing in life!
It was a long long week,
we had good time together...
... but one day I waited for him a long time
and more again the day after...
and the day after that...
and again and again...
...but he gave me a special remembrance of those happy days...
I wouldn't be alone anymore.
