Hi folks, please could you make sure that you put in the steps & techniques you have used on the originals on reworked pileup pieces so that there is an educational aspect that all can benefit from.

Many thanks ;-))))

Ji_Dallagio and Antonella launched a project; it is called: Pileup!

Antonella posted a raw untouched screenshot:

http://www.koinup.com/antonella/work/53531/

Every Koinup Member is invited to edit, postprocess, change it and explain what he/she has done to get to his/her image

You can save the Antonella Image on your Pc and start your experiments!

When you have created your own version, please upload on Koinup and add the tag: pileup

All Pictures will be available here:
http://www.koinup.com/works/tag/pileup/

The goal is to discuss together about our style, approachs and have fun in a collaborative project!

(This game is not restricted to Second Life, I would love to see participants from different worlds, gilds, games and style)

Pan, Trixi and other cool guys have launched a new Community Project.....

I don't know how to call it.....lets try with:

"One Place, Many Eyes"......

Anyway, this is the project:

One member take a photo in a place and other people follow, taking other pics of the same subject......

Pan has just started with this splendid photo settled in the JadeForest
http://www.koinup.com/PANTELEIMON-AEON/work/53258/

This is the slurl, TP there, take a lot of snaps:
slurl.com/secondlife/Straylight/186/53/25

And post your takes on Koinup

Remember to add the tag:
jadeforest

so that each takes on it, will be visible here:
http://www.koinup.com/works/tag/jadeforest/

(if you want get constructive comments on the work, add the tag:
review and enter the Mentor Project )

Hello chums. I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you that have embraced the mentors project, both to mentors and those submitting work for review. There have been some really excellent critiques and tutorials. I am going to be away for roughly a month (with a short spell back in the middle) so please mentors...keep up the great work you have done so far and review works on http://www.koinup.com/works/tag/review/

On another point...thanks to Pan and Pier for the initiative of comparing photos taken at the same sim. It would be great to narrow this down and maybe look at something specific on the sim and comparing shots on it...such as happened with the Beguile shots http://www.koinup.com/works/tag/beguile/

Another great suggestion from Ji, is to take a raw untouched image and then invite people to use it and do post prod work on it. Each person would then explain what they have done to get to their final image. This process is known as "Pile Up" so if you would like to do this...please upload a work and add the tag "pileup" to it. Then add a tag of your choice that each person doing work on it will add to their new work so that the string of photos can be identified. Then of course don't forget to add the tag "tutorial".

This is all very exciting and I can't wait to see the results on my return. Good luck my chums xxx

Just I wanna give my support to one idea of Pan!

The idea is this:

Each participant take a photo of the same subject. Eachone tag the photo in the same manner and then, we all discuss together about our attempts, showing different styles, approach, etc.....

I choose the main landscape of Africa:
http://www.koinup.com/pier/work/52573/

Its a great sim and if you want you can go on with this subject and do your take with it!

please, add the tag : virtualafrica
to your attempt

moreover, if you want to receive constructive comments from mentor, remember to add also the tag: review

lets go, tp in Africa!

ps: This game is for SL people, but I invite my friends from other virtual worlds to make similar games on their own

Dear friends
The awesome Trixibelle had a great idea ....

It is called “Mentors Project” and it works this way:

Are you a beginner in photography or machinima? Are you making art experiments and would you love to receive constructive comments from the most skilled Koinup members?

Great! This project is for you!
Add the tag: review
to all your works you wanna be reviewed from the pool of mentors and they will review and make a deep analysis of them!

Is there a better way to improve and become an artist?

Right now, the group of mentors is made up by:
Ji Dallagio, Rhondita, Bbea, Zeppy, Don Hosho, MightyP, Angel-Ronmark and Eves

(soon, you will see the mentors here: http://www.koinup.com/people/?q=mentor )

If you wanna be a mentor, please add the tag: mentor
to your profile and add other tags for the fields you are an expert (photoshop, windlight, machinima, second life, imvu, etc)

If you wanna a constructive comment, tag your work with: review

Mentors will periodically browse all the works, tagged with: review
here: http://www.koinup.com/works/tag/review/

once the constructive comment has been posted, mentor can add the tag:
tutorial on that work

Please, spread out this message and broadcast it, too yourself!

dear friends,

If you stumble on some nice sims, places, clubs or party in SL
you can send an invite to your Koinup friends, by sending a postcards on Koinup.

How?

Easy, go in your account : http://www.koinup.com/account/

Set-up your Koinup Upload Email and then, when you are in SL, send as many postcards as you want to that email address recipients.....

We on Koinup we will see the postcards and probably we will join you inworld!

Note: The postcards arrive on Koinup with the Slurl, so each one can directly tp there.....

thank you dear Sierra
hope you had a great 4th july! :D

glad you love the widgets...I think that they are very useful for IMVU people....

View pier's home pier | 12 year(s) ago

The widget I posted was the large slide show and it shows the most recent 15 works. I also saw KOINBOY's hp and he has a slide show plus a static vertical widget showing everyone's work. I'm going to add that as soon as I make room on my page. IMVU'ers could use some exposure to Second Life folks. Your stuff rocks.

Now, I'm off to a 4th of July party (chicken, potato salad, watermelon, beer, good friends and fireworks, Yay!).

Take Care All, Sierra
