I quickly place a copy of my most recent building on the parcel. I want to use it, and mod it to be part of a larger structure...The Temple of Sparta'. The landlord said he 'Was honoured' that I wanted to name the building after the sim!
First create the north and south wings out of 2 of the orginial temple. Then mod one of my favourite building facades to be the entrance. Next...
...create the 'perfect' large column and use it to create the outter skeleton of the main building. Figure out how to encorporate at least 3 different floor levels, and a central pond using SL's own water table.
Start working on the sub-levels and under the main facade...a lot of chances to show off architectural details. I'm so enjoying myself!
This is now out of date, but it's a very cool shot of the original temple which I sell on SLExchange.
Next step: create a cloistered area on the ground floor. And the access ramps linking 3 levels. One more level will come.
I'll add a banister around the opening in the floor soon, and it'll incorporate 2 interior, animated braziers (probably.
I love the feel of this new area.

Inside the rib cage of the skeleton...
The front face has lots of work to be done on it yet, although the main part of the inside facade looks good so far.

My avatar is 6'6", so this picture gives you an idea of scale. The roof has to go on yet!

The ground level cloisters area.

It already feels relaxing.

And on Friday night and Saturday the main building takes shape. My prim count is still good, so I'll add small gardens at the sides, and lots of details.

Inside, which is now roofed over.

Looking pretty at sunset, it's first!

Moonrise over the Temple of Sparta!
