this image was an interesting one to work on...originally just a picture of trees and hills on a sunny afternoon it turned into something reminiscent of Salvador Dali's famous work, perhaps even with a hint of Mandelbrot fractals:) or at least I think so even if there are no melting clocks *giggles:) the colours were of course falsified using a mix of layers, blending techniques, and surprisingly hardly any actual colour adjustments at all. I created the dark "anti-glow" around the trees by performing edge detection on a copy of the image, heavily blurring the result and using it as a layer to subtract from the main image. Some whirling and pinching around the center to make the hills roll a little bit more and there you are:)
