serenity in light
this image is composed of two shots taken from the same angle at Tempura Island, with the only difference between them being the sparkles and the flow of the water:) some blending, selective gaussian blurring, and color curve adjusting helped me achieve the mystical touch I was trying to add. Having done that I then decided that the lamp hanging from the tree at the far left should actually be lit:) so I rendered a spherical glow in reddish orange, used the burn tool to brighten the lamp to nearly white, and finally added a heavy soft glow effect to make it all blend together nicely:) it has been a lot of work but I love the way this image invites one to walk so many different places and explore what lies around the corner:)
