I'm a 24 year old graphic designer living in SoCal and I LOVE SL! I'm also an admin over at mySecondLife.com and the site is growing and getting better and better content everyday... It's a community with a built in blog, photo slideshow (plus no restrictions on photo content/uploads) a forum, groups... I could go ON AND ON, but you get the pic ;P
