pub. on Feb 21, 2008 Second LifeScreenshots - Photos - Pictures Haçienda Negative

I created this image of a 35mm negative in Photoshop, from scratch based on an original screen grab of an image from Second Life. The original [flickr.com/photos/planetvideo/2160224260/ ] shows me visiting the amazing Factory Records Haçienda exhibition at the Urbis centre in Second Life.

I thought it would be quite exotic to take that virtual image and create something like a 35mm film fragment, as realistically as possible. To create the illusion of 'evidence' that the virtual world really exists - and here's the photograph as proof.

I know it would have added a lot more work, but putting print on the spindle area would give more authenticity, inverted photo numbers or a brand name for the film. That being said, VERY nice work!
