This is just a repeat of my previous shot:
http://www.koinup.com/PANTELEIMON-AEON/work/52743/
The only difference being the lens flare which I added as an after thought having been removed.

BBeau said she'd like to see it, and figured it would probably look better.
I suppose certain effects like lens flares are controversial sometimes, sometimes they look great, othertimes not...

oh..and here you can see other peoples takes on virtualafrica, for comparison of styles and techniques:http://www.koinup.com/works/tag/virtualafrica/

So you tell me, on this one...better with, or without ?

I say much better without - no distracting circles getting in the way of a stunning landscape now ;) Also your eye is now drawn to the circle of the sun :) Great work Pan!

Hey Pan. I looked at both pics...this one is much stronger. I agree wtih BB, the flare only detracts from the image rahter than enhancing it. However, you may try reducing the amount of the flare...in options to give just a hint. Other wise the use of color, is great. Another thing I would try is not croping with the tree dead centered. I would put it off to the right a little... My 2 cents. overall I sooo love this one very much. I'm one of your biggest fans!

LOL, Tana...didn't think anyone was gonna pick up on that tag...I used to do good blues, but now I'm really getting into the oranges too..haha

And thanks for your comments and opinion as always Monroe...you know we're both big fans of each other.

:-D

excellent shot!! I think you captured the colors and the tone and the atmoshpere of the "real africa"

as many other friends, I think this one is my fav! and I totally agree with the opinion that lens flare could be distractive and hide the real beauty....

sometimes, when you have a great subject, the minimalist approach is the better one....

I also agree with Don which suggest to remove the clouds........

beside this: awesome job, man!
