Me likes. The sense of different colours, the play with light. Would have been nice to have someone standing in the doorway, backlit silhouette, with that person's shadow on the floor. It's awesome, but it is missing an avatar touch. But still, awesome. *doubts*

Looking at this again, maybe a person sitting on the chair, waiting to enter, would have made it complete...
I originally had a man sitting in the chair playing the violin. But in the end, I liked the empty space much more. The figure in the chair placed too much weight on the one side of the frame, and placing a figure in the door seemed to obscure the door and the room beyond. It was very much a process piece that was worked out as I went along. My original idea with the violin just didn't look right in the end.

I like it this way without an AV but my mind plays tricks - I had always assumed there was soemone in the room - a hand or foot showing. Now I see that was just part of the story I had in my own head so... I don't think you need an AV - let the viewer put someone (or themselves) there.
