pub. on Jun 15, 2008 Second LifeScreenshots - Photos - Pictures wall

Photo was taken in SL, Post-processed in Photoshop CS2. Cropped and used Image>adjustment>curves to lighten the image a bit. Was a bit blue, so I brought the saturation down on the blue to almost zero, which gave the hue of the other colors a more interesting look. Blurred using the blur tool from the top to give the appearance of looking down from above more....focusing on the models. Added another layer and used a paintbrush set to about 50% opacity and drew along the edges of the models to give the shadow effect. Set the layer to gaussian blur at around 37 pixels for the shadow. Then used the burn tool to draw around the shadow on the wall...and add some depth to the models.

Thanks for participating Kade. Nice entry!
However, I'd like to reminds you that one of the jury's criteria is the technique sharing. It would be a pity you corrupt your chances.

Blur very much succeeded, incredibly interesting angle and theme. Doing a very sexy scene without being cheap, my congratulations! If you would opt for a slight blur on the floor & below part of the floor that would fix the problem that the edge of the wall there is a bit to sharp at the moment. It also seems impossible to me to think of a situation where the wall is that blueish and the floor that brownish. correct the blue of the wall (only the blue of the wall, leave the other blues intact) to contain more yellow (leave the red level) and add a slight blueish cast to the floor where it meets the wall and a slight reddish cast to the wall where it meets the floor. I think. But overall, this is a lovely photograph, - not only for reason of original thinking, but also execution is good - and you should be very proud of it!
