The song is Emilie Simon's 'Le Dsert'. I followed the lyrics for the most part, but the inspiration for the story is based off a personal experience. This film is personal to me, so it's likely that it won't make sense to most. Watch the video before you read the rest of this description.

This is a story of a girl who has become isolated from the one she loves, emotionally of course. She saves a spot for her loved one in her desert, but he never fully understands and thus she is left alone in her desert. She is trying to forget him, but his image lingers on in her heart and mind. Eventually she is able to move on in the end, he disappears and she walks away from him.
