A very special day in the life of avatar Francis_7. July 11, 2008 was the fifth birthday for Miracle Pictures, an online movie making club in There. This was made for the "A Day in Your Virtual Life" Machinima Contest and submited on July 13, 2008.

Oh. Uh well the same way we make all our movies. We capture magical creatures from World of Warcraft and put them to work as slave labore in No, honestly I use a fairly old laptop, an alienware from 2003(it happens to be bright green in color) which has a video out on it. I hool that to my old Cannon ZR40 and do my recording direct to mini DV tape. Tape is cheap and unlike hard drives, it rarely crashes! The footage is then edited in iMovie on a MacMini. Then it is dumped out to DVD as a backup copy and then transvered back onto tape as a second backup, then the tape is transfered back into a PC format using Windows Movie maker. Then that is uploaded to the web site. I also use a few plugins from for credits and a few for effects. I also use annother iMovie plugin for my green screen stuff, and mixing images together, but I can't recall the name of the people who made it.

Francis, this really is well done--the character feels "real"-- which is hard to convey in machinima. You did a great job!!

I just have to keep commenting on your body animation convinicing! I struggled with this myself, and know how much work went into it. Again, well done!

I am still watching, and am still continuing to be increasingly impressed!

Ok..I went to There to look for Francis' movie studio, but did not make it much past orientation island :/ I may try again another time. Still a very cool film!!

The body animations are the stardard there animations. Everyone moves and looks like that in I can't relaly take credit for that. Well I could... but I generally don't like to lie to the public at large.

The movie studio can be located by going to the places menu and selecting Find a Place. There is a link near the top right of that page that says 'search listings" I think. Click that. Into the search box that appears on the next page type in Miracle Pictures and click the search button. The first match is our old clubhouse, but further down you will see a little picture of the studio. There should be a 'visit' button visible there.

You should check out some of my other movies here on Koinup and also on YouTube. I just released my second feature length movie "The Wizard of Lag", as mentioned in the movie above.

Congratulations on your win in the machinima contest, Francis. Fantastic! I will certainly check out your other films, and may even try wandering into There again and finding your studio, which I would love to see. Just wish I could fly in There! :D Best wishes, Life

Oh. There is a very large place and even flying it might take an hour or more to get from the arrival island to Aurora island where the movie studio (seen in the movie) is located.

However you can teleport there by going to the Places menu, then on the right hand side there is an option to search listings. Once there there is a search box where you can type in Miracle Pictures. Just look for the picture that looks like the structure seen in the movie. It is the third one down the page or so. The first too that come up are our small movie theater in Paradise and one larger house we still use for meetings and filming in.
