Okay now where to start with this picture...

Firstly I set my graphics to high in SL and took a picture or the landscape in a jungle in game. Uploading it into GIMP I edited the contrast, cropped it and enhanced the colour curves a little to make the green stand out more.

Next I took a picture of my avatar in my studio and cropped it to get rid of the background. I did alot of smoothing, some shading, adjusted brightness at contrast, added a little bit of soft glow and plonked her in the water (smudging around the base).

To create the reflection i copied the bottom of the pictur, rotated and flipped, and made semitransparent before smudging to give a rippled effect.

Lastly i copied part of the fern to make the shadow across her chest as the light is coming from behind it, inverted the selection and coloured it in grey.

Alright i then made it greyscale, as black and white pictures are my favourite, i love the amount of emotion it seems to add!

Only been at this 2 months so i think its nae bad :D
