Out of the Depths
Your Ocean
Into the depths I glide
Swimming in an ocean fashioned of tears and love
As deep as the love I feel for you
I reach out for you
But holding you is like holding water
There is no containing you
There is no vessel from which you would not burst forth
And so I glide through you instead
Allow you to surround me
Fill me
Drown in your essence
Drown in your love
You are my ocean
So full of life, both gentle and wild things
Everything is contained in you
I swim through you loving how you feel around me
Your gentle touch gliding across my skin
The way you move in and around me
I get lost in your heart beat
Lost in your song drifting through the water
Lost in your love
I wander aimlessly through you
Swimming, not knowing my way
But eternally grateful to be with you
Drowning in your love
You are all things beautiful and dark
As beautiful and dark as the ocean
Touching you is like touching the light of the moon
Shining in rays down through the water
Purely magic
Filling me with awe
Filling me with more love than I can contain
And so I spill out into your ocean
Forever one with you
My water mingling with yours
Forever a part of each other
If I were to die here
Swimming in your ocean
Drowning in your love
I could think of no better place to be
If I am to lose myself
I would lose myself to you and be happy
Forever swimming in your ocean
Completely and eternally yours in love.

This is a picture i took as a background for a poem i was asked to display at a poetry festival in Milk Wood. The name of the poem was Out of the Depths. That's me in the picture :).
